Driftwood House Photoshoot in Cocoa Beach
We were so lucky to score an unbelievable location for our first Sunshine State™ photoshoot thanks to some amazing friends. When we first heard about this hidden gem located directly on Cocoa Beach we had no idea it would turn out to be this cool. The Driftwood House was built in 1912 by a Florida pioneer who found a shipwreck washed up on the shore in front of its current location. The ship was carrying a load of cypress and he used the wood to build the house.
Photographer Zach Ashton recommended the Driftwood House for the shoot. The location was perfect for the shots he wanted to get on land and in the Atlantic Ocean.
We were so grateful to locals Drew Eggers, Forrest Johnson and Pat Ayres for modeling our apparel. They all surf and were very good sports while Zach captured them riding the waves.
Drew and Forrest even managed to hold hands during one ride.
While we waited for the light to change, Drew strummed the ukulele and entertained us with her charming songs.
You couldn't ask for a better view.
Sunshine State ™ founder Chelsea McMillan and Drew cracking up on the front porch. While Chelsea was dreaming up the brand she imagined her cousin, Drew, as the model.
A huge thanks to everyone who made this photoshoot such a success.
